A couple of weeks back we reported on Grace Jones new autobiography ‘I’ll Never Write My Memoirs’, where she gave her direct and honest opinion on women in today’s popular culture and being their creative inspiration.

Following the release of the iconic performers tell all book, of course we get to read more on her thoughts on today’s stars, and the ‘shade’ if you will that comes with it.

Remember Kim Kardashian‘s ‘Paper‘ magazine spread campaign to ‘break the internet’? Yes, we too were hoping to forget about that one.

The magazine spread was shot by french photographer, Jean Paul Gaude, who is not only the father of Jones’ child but was also heavily involved in the creative process behind some of her iconic music videos and album covers.

The 67-year-old leader of the pack was none too pleased with her baby’s daddy’s subject choice in the reality star, nor the shoot.

Check out her thoughts below:

When he took a photograph of Kim Kardashian with a champagne glass perched on her ass in an impossible pose like the ones he did with me over thirty-five years ago, I asked him why he was giving her – a basic commercial product – his ideas?

This seemed to contradict his spirit of integrity, which he has protected for so long. Why was he repeating himself, just to give her a little flare of publicity, quickly absorbed by the next puff of self-promotion?”

Well, he replied, ‘I got the feeling that if I didn’t do that photograph, she would have simply copied the idea anyway. I might as well copy myself.’ His ideas are are so powerful that repeating them decades later still causes a hell of a fuss, however temporary…He might have done it to wind me up a little as well. Which he did.

Although nothing too bad was said about Kim, we hope Kanye West respects music royalty other than Beyonce and on this occasion keeps his mouth shut.

Ye’ we don’t want to hear it! Although admirable that he wants to defend is wife’s honor, as we all know when it comes to Kim he has a flare for making silly statements in her defense.
