Former Danity Kane members Aubrey O’Day and Shannan Bex, who now make up new pop duo girl band Dumblonde dropped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club to chop it up with radio hosts DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God.

The girls discussed their new group project, Diddy, D Woods and of course the ladies were asked about the differences which occurred between the girls and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard. Specifically on the O’day attack which took place back in August last year, which yet again saw the Making The Band group disband 6 years after the original break-up.

Aubrey took the opportunity to give her side of the story and clear up what she called ‘misconceptions’ of previous/ current beefs involving themselves and Dawn Richard… It was indeed a revelation.

Aubrey gave us a history lesson and took it all the way back to 2009, filling us in on why Dawn Richard who now goes by the name Dawn Angelique, isn’t so angelic after all. According to 31-year-old O’Day, Dawn was caught out anonymously posting slanderous comments about both Aubrey and D Woods on Aubrey’s fan page back in 2009. This was until Dawn was caught out by Aubrey and a fan who ran her fan page, via the IP address for her personal laptop used to post the hateful comments on her band mates. When addressed with it, Dawn blamed it all on her then boyfriend, who by the way at the time was not Q of Day26.

Describing what happened during the alleged attack on her at the hands of the former Dirty Money singer last year, Aubrey explains;

“She sucker punched me in the back of my head. I ran out, like the White girl that I am. And I immediately got on my cell phone and I called the police. I’m from Palm Springs ok? It was drop, stop, grab your cell phone and call the police.”

The pair also discussed being broke after Diddy called time on the group six years ago, after having two platinum albums and touring, they barely made any money from their Danity Kane days… Even after grossing $1 Million for supporting Christina Aguilera on tour, they finished up the tour $15,000 in debt. This of course was not the most shocking news of all revealed.
