Eddie Murphy Sparks Rumours of ‘Coming To America’ Sequel Then Leaves Twitter Taneisha Nicole March 17, 2017 It appears that comedic legend Eddie Murphy has decided to make a sequel to the much loved 80’s film ‘Coming to America‘, 30 years after it’s original. The news came following at tweet from the 55-year-old comedians official twitter page on the possible sequel. According the TMZ: Sources close to Eddie tell us he’s in the early writing stages of the project. No word yet on which original cast members would return because he’s still tinkering with the plot. So, it really could happen, but the mystery is how it ended up on Twitter. The Wednesday night post simply said, “Coming to America sequel?” with a pic of Vanessa Bell Calloway in character. Eddie’s camp tells us he doesn’t tweet. Our sources say he has a social media team to do that stuff. It appears that Eddie or his team may not have been best pleased with the news getting out as his Twitter page has now been deleted. It’s always risky trying to follow up with a sequel of a classic hit movie with hopes of equal success, especially so long after the original. Looking forward to seeing a ‘Coming to America 2? And other than the original cast members who do you think Eddie should call upon to star in the movie? Your Thoughts?
