Looks like 2017 is gonna be the year of the urban comeback! This month we’ve had new music from Missy Elliott, Letoya Luckett, Keyshia Cole, Ed Sheeran & now we can add Faith Evans to that list…

It’s been a full twelve months since we told you that Faith was readying a duet album with her late husband, Notorious B.I.G. and this weekend her team ignited the buzz with two summer-themed R&B feel-good anthems.

The King And I Faith Evans

The 43-year old R&B Diva teases her seventh studio album, The King And I, with new buzz singles ‘NYC‘ featuring rapper Jadakiss & ‘When We Party‘ featuring ‘Tha Doggfather’ rapper Snoop Dogg, or Snoop Lion. The new LP promises a treat for fans of Biggie Smalls a.k.a. Christopher Wallace, already so far we can hear vocals from his ’93 cut, “Mumbling And Whispering” & radio churner “Going Back to Cali,” sampled on the project.

We’re hoping, alongside these west coast summer feel good numbers, Miss Evans will also serve us with a few heartfelt love songs. Last year, Faith revealed that music videos for this album will feature Notorious in the form of a hologram – we’re excited to see what impact this will have on POP culture.
