In a world of music ruled by pop & hip hop music sometime we forget about real R&B music. Grammy Award Winner Fantasia seems to never disappoint. She just dropped the video for her song “When I Met You”, off her 5th album “The Definition of”.

If you are a sucker for a cool video that tells a story, a good R&B song, with a 90s flare you will love this video. Telling the story of a strong love connection between two people throughout the years.

One of the coolest things about the video is her daughter Zion, who portrays a younger version of her mom. She is such a scene stealer and is the highlight of the video.

Fantasia said on her instagram about her daughter:

“It was so beautiful to create this video with my first born Zion,”  “You see that glow all over her? I’m a proud Mommy and can’t wait for her gifts to bless the world the way she blesses mine every single day. The #WhenIMetYouVideo is #TheDefinitionOf that ’90s throwback vibe,” added Tasia. “A true era of music! I play the teenage version of myself (T-Boz cut and hoop earrings y’all) blinded by a false idea of love.”

I think anyone can appreciate a good 90s tribute. Viewers will catch some flashback references including nods to SWV, TLC, Whitney Houston, & others.

A personal touch her husband, Kendall Taylor, appears as her groom in the final wedding scene.
