Hightlights: 20th Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Team Curtains November 12, 2015 It’s Victoria Secret show time! This year marks the 20th anniversary of the astonishing Victoria’s Secret fashion show. On Tuesday, 47 models including Victoria’s Secret Angels walked the runway for the occasion, including musical performances by The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez, in New York City. Rihanna, who was announced as the main musical guest a week ago and dropped out last week, arranged for balloons to be delivered to the models. She wrote a note which read: “Wish I was there with you guys. Kill it tonight. See you all next time. Love, Rihanna.” View this post on Instagram A little backstage secret from #Rhianna @badgalriri we miss you 💋#vsfashionshow @victoriassecret A post shared by Secretagent212 (@secretagent212) on Nov 10, 2015 at 2:55pm PST It’s been said the reason Rih Rih could not make it was due to the recording of her new album ANTI, but word on the street is she was trying to avoid Kendall Jenner. Martha Hunt (pictured above) and Elsa Hosk (pictured below) were the newest secret angels. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, the non-winged supermodels joined the razzle-dazzle show for that 20th edition. The best friends shared their excitement on Instagram as they still can’t realise the opportunity that’s happening to them. A photo posted by Team Curtains (@teamcurtains_) on Nov 11, 2015 at 5:45pm PST Gigi wrote under a picture taken with Kendall: “No one I would have rather shared my VS v-card with 😉 This show is genuinely a dream come true. Can’t thank you enough” Kendall slayed the runway and looked flawless even if she had some apprehension because of the wrong size of her heels, she was terrified of falling. “It’s kind of strange to say it, but I’m more nervous about tripping or slipping than I am to be wearing lingerie!” She confessed. Kendall’s mom-ager Kris Jenner and daddy Caitlyn Jenner were in the audience cheering their daughter on! Furthermore, Supermodel Maria Borges who’s the first Black model to rock natural hair on the show dedicated her look to Africa. “I told my agent I wanted to walk in the Victoria’s Secret show with my natural hair, I was nervous, but I had to do it. When they said ‘yes’ I didn’t expect it, but I was so happy!” she told. With the likes of some of our supermodel favs Joan Smalls – the night was a complete success and we can’t wait to see the televised episode! But we will have to wait a little while! The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air earlier next month on CBS, Tuesday, December 8th. Who wore your favourite look?
