How Dare They! Black Supermodel Jourdan Dunn Excluded By I-D Magazine Team Curtains November 12, 2015 Did Black British supermodel Jourdan Dunn experience discrimination on social media?! The 25-year old model has worked with fashion brands such Burberry, Prada, Maybelline, Vogue, Elle & was also listed as one of Forbes’ 2o15 Top-Earning Models for having a net worth of 12 million. Recently i-D Magazine did not mention Dunn’s name in a tweet when she was featured alongside Kendall Jenner & Gigi Hadid, which was quite strange since Dunn had covered their magazine eight times. While promoting their coverage of a recent Balmain x Hennes & Mauritz event, the mag tweeted a pic of the models with caption: @i_D That “more” girl has been on your cover 8 times….. — Faiz Fenty (@Faiz_Fenty) October 21, 2015 A fan on Twitter acknowledges this incident to responds to highlight how many times Dunn has been featured on their covers. Was Jourdan not mention worthy when placed next to her fashion model peers? Since, i-D have apologised on Twitter, saying: i-D has and always will champion, 8-time cover star @missjourdandunn. The previous tweet was an oversight. https://t.co/jb30u47CXk — i-D (@i_D) October 22, 2015 But the apology does not refute the fact that discrimination exists in the fashion industry. Your Thoughts?
