We recently sat down with Michelle Williams, Grammy winner and Gospel/ POP artist, right here in London before she performed her Gospel hits at the Ruach City Church for their Super Sunday service!

The 35-year old songstress is better known as the third member of Destiny’s Child, who joined Beyoncé Knowles & Kelly Rowland, becoming one of the best-selling female R&B groups of all time. Recently Williams returned with her fourth studio album Journey To Freedom, which was led by singles ‘If We Had Your Eyes’ featuring Fantasia Barrino, ‘Fire,’ ‘Believe In Me‘ and the Destiny’s Child Gospel collab ‘Say Yes‘ recorded with her former band-mates – a single which received cross-over success and saw the girls reunite to perform at the 2015 Stellar Awards.

Before Ruach‘s Super Sunday service we caught up with ‘We Break The Dawn’ singer to speak on her new bedding & home line Believe at Home by Michelle Williams, available on EVINE Live.

Being that Michelle launched her POP stardom in an R&B girl-group we asked questions on how she balances her ‘sexy’ image with her Gospel career, if she is concerned about the chart success of her solo records and if she sees marriage & her own children in her destiny… With marriage in discussion, we speak on former Destiny’s Child band-mate Letoya Luckett‘s recent engagement announcement (who is actually close friends with Michelle, despite replacing her position within the group).

“Me and her we definitely communicate, I kinda know already…It’s news to you!” She said, letting us know this ‘news’ ain’t new!

Our editor Nathan Devonte did not shy away from asking on her relationship status, we learned that she is not against getting married or kids, saying: “I see marriage for sure, maybe children one day. You know… We’ll see.” We will see, no pressure but we’d love to see Michelle up next flaunting her engagement ring on social media…

Speaking on having her music listed in particularly charts, she confesses that she simply wants her music to be heard: “Now we understand that marketing purposes things have to be labeled, put in categories… But at the end of the day I just want you to hear it, vibe to it, enjoy, be inspired by it and whatever you call it that’s what you call it.”

Learning more her new bedding line Believe at Home, Michelle says: “Believe at Home by Michelle Williams that’s my new home collection. It’s a home collection but we launched the bedding first. Everything for your bed to have a good night rest because sleep and rest is a part of making sure you have healthy well-being.”
