Did you enjoy The New Edition Story? Well, here’s another for you, Mr. Dalvin of the legendary 90’s R&B group Jodeci confirms they have biopic on the way.

During an interview on Monday with San Francisco radio station Q102.3, Mr. Dalvin who was joined by fellow group member JoJo, told the radio hosts that a movie is currently in the works.

“They started the process last September, we just finished the script and we’re going into production next month, so we’re looking probably at an end of the year release…VH1 own the rights so far.”

Group members K-Ci, and JoJo, Dalvin and DeVante Swing rose to fame following the success of their 1991 debut album ‘Forever My Lady’. The chart topping album saw unforgettable hits such as the album title track, ‘Forever My Lady‘, ‘Come and Talk to Me‘ and ‘Stay‘.

After listening to three of the four members reflect and share stories on their come up and success during their visit to Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club last year, it would be great to see those stories come to life.

We are definitely looking forward to the casting decision announcement, who will play Mary J.Blige?
