Someone finally managed to say it! Rapper Kid Cudi took Twitter by storm when he chose to renounce Hip Hop royalty artists Kanye West and Drake.

He goes on by tweeting these tweets:

According to the All Of The Lights by Kanye West collaborator, artists like West and Drake have no business in the Hip Hop industry without gimmicks such as Kanye’s fashion and Drake’s desperate need to prove that he and Rihanna are dating. Cudi claims that artists such as the ones he mentioned are fake and they’re time is running out as they have no real talent just the ability to pay other people to write their songs for them. Ouch!

The psychedelic rapper also claims that when these false artists fall, they will make way for real artists such as himself when he tweets “The fake ones won’t be lasting too much longer” and when he explains that artists like Kanye West keep especially creatively brilliant artists such as Cudi close to him, stunting their growth and feeding off of them so they won’t outshine them.

Cudi, who clearly has no problem naming these artists he’s so sore. He also manages to shoutout artists he believes have the talent and deserve the same recognition as Drake and Kanye when he tweets, “All my youngins out here reppin, Asap Rocky and the whole ASAP family, Travis Scott, SuperDuper Kyle, Audio Push, Hit Boy, etc, I see yall”.

This twitter rant also comes as a big surprise as earlier this year, Cudi was praising his experience working on Yeezy’s track Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1 from his latest album The Life Of Pablo. He told Billboard, “Whatever we were dealing with, it was a beautiful thing to clear the air about. I’m really happy to be back working with my friends.” This is following Cudi’s 2013 decision to leave Kanye West’s record label G.O.O.D. Music due to a change in his artistic vision for himself.

As it turns as out, that reconciliation didn’t last very long as Cudi is openly slandering his former mentor to create hype for his new album which drops later this month. But unlike the king of controversy Kanye, Kid needs as much publicity as he can get as his last album Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven which came out in 2015 was his least successful and lowest rated album with tracks mainly inspired by the Indie-Rock genre and almost endless Beavis and Butt-Head voice samples.

Although Cudi once had an extremely promising career, his opportunities diminished when he chose to change directions of where his sound was taking him and decided to be “different” from his Hip Hop colleagues which could have been great had he executed it better than he did. Also waging war on Drake and Kanye may have been bold but he has put himself in a treacherous position as either one of these rap kings may clap back and the collateral may not be pretty. We haven’t forgotten what happened the last time someone came for Drake… *cough cough Meek Mill.
