Meek Mill Approved To Release New Music +Readies His Next Jab At Drake! Team Curtains April 16, 2016 Oh Rihmeek you just can’t quit can you? Yes, for those of you unfamiliar with the situation, rappers Drake and Meek Mill have been embroiled in a very public feud after Mill made a comment on social media that the ‘All Me’ MC doesn’t write his own lyrics. Drake then reprimanded Mill for flexing his “twitter fingers” in a diss song called ‘Back to Back’ and it’s safe to say nothing was the same. The beef had seemed to cool down after Mill ran into some legal trouble that lead to the rapper being sentenced to house arrest and restricted from recording and releasing new music. Well recently the ‘I B on it’ rapper appealed his case in hopes that the judge would reconsider the court’s decision and allow him to release music. The court approved Mill’s appeal but only under one condition, he can only release music for free. Here’s what our peeps over at TMZ had to say: Sources connected to the case tell us Meek got an order of clarification 2 weeks after his sentencing. The judge had said he could not record ANY music during his 90 days of house arrest, but then spelled it out in more detail. We’re told the rule is Meek can release music in order to “protect his brand,” but it has to be on FREE platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube. We believe this might be the most ideal situation for Meek since no one is really buying his music anyway. After receiving the good news, it wasn’t long until rumors began circulating that Mill was plotting his next jab at his long-time light skin arch rival. This past week, Mill’s new mixtape Dreamchasers 4 appeared on Datpiff.com with a countdown timer to an April 29th release date. Normally this would be great news however April 29th is also the same day Drake plans to debut his new album, Views From The 6. YIKES! Since, the countdown timer has now been removed from the website and has been replaced with a prompt that reads “Coming Soon” UPDATE: A rep from Meek Mill’s teams exclusively confirmed with Billboard.com that April 29th is NOT the official release date for Dreamchasers 4. What do you guys think? Is this beef over? Are you excited for new Meek Mill music? Let us know in the comments below!
