“I don’t think I’m going to be at all famous, I don’t think I could handle it, I’d probably go mad”  – Amy Winehouse

Most of us are aware of the untimely death of British soul/jazz singer Amy Winehouse, who had passed away just under four years ago in July 2011.  Well fans will be excited to hear a new documentary is set to be released this summer featuring unseen footage of the late singers life off and on stage.

The film directed by Asif Kapadia, is said to be a compilation of footage of a young Amy, documenting the Back To Black singers journey and rise to fame as she tells her own story speaking on her music, her life and her future, which unfortunately was tragically cut short to alcohol abuse.

The trailer of the documentary titled Amy was released shortly, and the short teaser gives you an insight on what to expect and appears the documentary will be an emotional jerker. It’s hard to believe that such a talent left us four years ago and may even more so by the end of the film.

Like most people who know Amy’s short but eventful struggle and success, the feeling will resonate yet again of another wasted talent gone too soon. Amy is due for release July 3 2015.
