Does Hov owe the late singer’s estate money?!

Here is another problem added to Jay’s 99 problems list. Jay-Z and Tidal‘s 40 millions offer to acquire the streaming rights to Prince’s unreleased songs has been denied.

In a letter to Jay-z’s team, the ‘When Doves Cry’ singer’s estate said they will pass on the deal. He also said, ‘Roc Nation exploit any of the intellectual property assets of the Estate.’

The estate approves that Prince signed a deal with Jay-Z for the release of his last album HITnRUN Phase One, in 2015, but the source also claims that there’s no proofs of the 750K payment due. It seems like Tidal owe them some royalty money!

Do you remember when Prince signed the deal and celebrated Hov’s work on the creation of the streaming service!

“Tidal is sinking money into [the album] and they need it. […] And my heart is always on because I want them to do well. [Beyoncé and Jay-Z] have taken a lot of abuse, their family has an historic amount of abuse between the two of them. And when we win on this, none of us will gloat. He’s not the gloating type anyway. He’s slick with his. He says to brush the dirt off your shoulder,” said Prince’s estate.

Let’s hope they resolve this issue amicably, if not, expect this to be in court soon.

Pop icon Prince -- whose pioneering brand of danceable funk made him one of music's most influential figures -- died on April 21, 2016 at his compound in Minnesota. He was 57. The announcement came just a week after the Grammy and Oscar winner was taken to hospital with a bad bout of influenza, although he made light of his health problems after the scare. / AFP / Bertrand GUAY (Photo credit should read BERTRAND GUAY/AFP/Getty Images)

What do you think about this?
