The unbelievable news came in just moments ago that superstar musician Prince, full name Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his home and recording studio in Minnesota at the age of 57.


“It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died,” his publicist has confirmed, earlier today, “There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time.” Police were called to a medical emergency at his Paisley Park estate. Just last week Prince was rushed to hospital hours after performing on stage, which was believed to have been flu, but was soon released.


The artist, best known for albums 1999 and Purple Rain has sold more than 100 millions records worldwide.




Already social media tributes from fellow artists and fans has begun and it has also been reported that fan are gathering at Paisley Park. Our thoughts go out to his friends, family and his fans!
