Do you remember that only black actress, with a speaking part, from ‘Clueless’ Stacey Dash?! Well following Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s announcement that she would boycott the Oscars after no black actors were acknowledged by the 2016 academy, Dash sat down with Fox News’ Fox & Friends to speak her thoughts on the matter.

Shockingly to some, not us, she revealed that she does not see the value in Black-centric shows, black awards shows and channels. Saying:

Stacey: We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards where you’re only awarded if you’re black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.

Steve: So you say there shouldn’t be a BET channel?

Stacey: No, I don’t think so. No. Just like there shouldn’t be a Black History Month. You know? We’re Americans. Period. That’s it.

Steve: Are you saying there shouldn’t be a Black History Month because there isn’t a white history month?

Stacey: Exactly. Exactly.

Following this, BET clapped backed on social media to say:
