South London rapper Stormzy is beginning to make a name for himself in the British music industry.

In celebration of the release of his debut album ‘Gang Signs & Prayer‘, Stormzy surprised his fans with a series of performances across London, including a homecoming show at Croydon’s Boxpark.

The grime artist took to his twitter to announce the location and time of the first of his performances just hours before the impromptu gig was set to take place.

The ‘Shut up‘ MC’s first album released on Friday (February 24) features U.S. singer Kehlani, Wretch 32, MNEK, Lily Allen and more. The lead single from the album ‘Big for Your Boots‘ was released  on February 3.

This spring Stormzy will be keeping himself busy and take his album on the road kicking of his European tour in Dublin on March 29th, as well as performing at this years Coachella.

The 23-year-old has made it no secret that he is an Adele fan with his past super cute fan boy moments. So we’re sure he was chuffed when Adele gave his album a little shout out on her Instagram.

The BRIT nominated artist now has even more reason to celebrate following his surprise performance of ‘Shape of You‘ at the BRIT Awards with Ed Sheeran last week.

The remix of the British singer and Grime star’s song is now the number 1 single in the U.K singles chart.
