A ten year partnership is going through the court system as is the usual in any Hollywood Celeb situation gone awry.

It has been reported that ‘Black & Yellow’ rapper Wiz Khalifa, who was managed by Benjy Grinberg since the age of 16, felt that his manager at the time was not looking out for his best interest by having him sign a 360 deal, which allegedly, “signs away their publishing or take most of the infrastructure that’s included in a formal deal,” according to XXL Magazine.

The general consensus seems to be that the 360 deal kind of drains the power from the artiste, and seems to only be an asset to the manager, which is, apparently, the thorn in Wiz’s side and the whole point of his side of the suit.

The partnership has parted ways apparently since 2014, when Wiz dropped Grinberg from his management and filed a lawsuit simultaneously in an effort to terminate the 360 deal the then-up-and-coming Pittsburgh rapper signed in 2005. Sources have stated it seems Grinberg had no intention of being disingenuous towards his former client and it’s apparently stemming from “inaccuracies”.

Hopefully this 10-year partnership can be resolved, albeit being two years and on going, it seems almost like there have possibly been miscommunications and/ or misunderstandings from jump street! A peaceful resolution is hopefully the ending to this saga.
