Tamia Releases Sixth Studio Album – ‘Love Life’ Team Curtains June 16, 2015 Canadian singer-songwriter Tamia releases her sixth studio album Love Life, after 8 years through Def Jam Records marking her return to a major label. Tamia can be best remembered for her 2001 hit ‘Stranger In My House‘, as well as lending her vocals for rapper Fabolous‘ 2003 summer hit ‘Into You‘. The album has been beautifully arranged as a soundtrack for Tamia’s 16-year marriage to former NBA basketball player Grant Hill. It sometimes feels like it’s every other day we are hearing of another celebrity break-up or divorce, be it the disappointment of a marriage ending after just days or years. A celebrity marriage lasting 16 years, not only do we welcome an album paying homage to and inspired by that union-ship, we are celebrating it with you. Super sexy lead single “Sandwich And a Soda” was released earlier this year followed by “Stuck With Me” which was released last month. Third single “Day One” dropped this month to keep the buzz going for album serving. Tamia sings tales of love-making and the comfort of being in a relationship. Call this album the ‘love making guide’ as Tamia is not concerned with a quickie but more focuses on the real, tasteful love-making, with the person you love. “Baby drop your luggage on the floor/ We won’t make it upstairs/ And you know the kids are down,” she sings on “Chaise Lounge“. On Love Life Tamia explores familiarising herself with the person that she loves; it’s not about going shopping for new shoes but it’s about the shoes you have worn for years.
